This artwork features 27 iconic players and 1 iconic manager in a squad photo style design. Carefully researched and curated, we've put together a group of players from the past and present who have helped shape the club.
This group of players is chosen based on the following criteria: Club legends, prolific goal scorers, cult heroes and loyal servants with an emphasis on celebrating all eras. Each player is also depicted in a home, away or third kit of their era, making sure we get some of those absolute classic kits we all know and love. Finally, we have tried to make the selection balanced positionally which has made for some difficult decisions.
Imagine Kenny Burns and Trevor Smith marshalling the back line or Jude and Francis in midfield. We can only dream!
Each player is digitally designed using a laptop mousepad. Overall, this artwork has taken around 16 hours of work to complete.
